1. Look after the battery
One of the major differences between an electric bike and a regular bike is the battery. The battery will last for a long time, but it will eventually need to be replaced. By keeping an eye on the battery and ensuring that you have a clear idea of how long you can expect it to remain functional you will not be in for a nasty surprise one day when it stops working. 2. Lubrication of the drive train
You should make sure that you have taken the time to keep the drive train well oiled and that there are no obvious signs of wear and tear. 4. Check the brakes work well

If the brakes are not functioning well, you should take it in for a checkup right away. If you lose the ability to stop the bike you could risk injuring yourself.
5. Motor maintenance
The motor of your electric bike should be kept clean and you should not let any dirt build up around it. Other than that, it is best to leave the maintenance of your e bike motor to the professionals. Generally, your motor will not need any maintenance and should continue to perform well for many years. If you notice a change in performance then you should investigate the reason why with an expert.
6. Keep it clean
It’s not simply enough to get from A to B on your electric bike, you want to be able to look good while you do it. You should take some time to regularly clean your bike as if you leave dirt on the bike it can damage the paint over time. You won’t need to spend too long doing this, as it takes little effort. By cleaning your bike regularly, you will be able to keep it looking new for longer.
